The Winslow Tigers are a team of educated young athletes and coaches who believe that academic excellence is the cornerstone for all positive achievements on the soccer pitch.  The smarter the mind, the easier the game.  This motto is the mantra and essence of how player development is approached by the training staff of the Winslow Tigers.  The coaching staff of the Winslow Tigers have an open door training policy which allows for any age appropriate female who desires to play high level soccer to participate in practices at no cost.  Team development with the Winslow Tigers starts by allowing the hidden child treasures in our area communities to have access to the wonderful game of soccer for self improvement purposes through our team program.  All age appropriate players are welcome to practice with the Winslow Tigers at any time. 

All regular team and practice team members of the Winslow Tigers are taught to share the same common training principle of discipline.  Player discipline is one of the key ingredients that allows for the training methods that are used with the Winslow Tigers to be beneficial.  Some of the central areas of player development that are focused upon by the training staff of the Winslow Tigers are ball skill enhancement, field vision, positional support awareness and developing play recognition.  In addition, player confidence and self esteem improvement techniques are utilized in conjunction with all aspects of player development.

One of the primary player development objectives of the coaching staff of the Winslow Tigers is to utilize advanced level training techniques that promote accelerated skill improvement and unselfish team play.  The expected long term results of this approach are aimed at equipping each player with the necessary tools to effectively tryout for a varsity high school soccer team during their initial year of entry when that time period arrives.  In addition, this approach is focused on polishing player abilities in preparation for college showcase venues for when that time period also arrives.  The training staff of the Winslow Tigers have a progressive minded training style that is open to both old and new strategies that seek to improve the overall soccer playing ability of each player.
